Televerbier are planning to develop three new lifts in the Verbier resort over the next two years. Being one of the World’s leading ski resorts, Les 4 Vallées has some great new developments on the horizon and we can’t wait to see what changes these will bring to our resort!
La Chaux 2 will be replaced
Televerbier has asked permission to replace the current (slow!) 4-man chairlift. The plan is to install a fast 6-man chairlift, which should result in a faster infrastructure and lower waiting times at La Chaux during busy periods. This is a great new development for low-intermediate skiers and snowboarders.
Opposition new lift Esserts-Savoleyres
There is still one person remaining in opposition to the new lift connection between Verbier and Savoleyres. The dispute is still ongoing and we are all awaiting tentatively for news of this project. The current cable car of Savoleyres will expire in 2018, so fingers crossed a solution will be found before then!
New Cable Car Mont Gelé
After 65 years of excellent service the Mont Gelé cable car will be replaced with a new 50-person cable car, probably in 2017. Mont Gelé is a unique freeride mountain with no groomed slopes and is only open to advanced and off-piste skiers and snowboarders.
