At the heart of La Tzoumaz lies a story of transformation—a journey from a humble, rustic barn to a luxurious mountain chalet. This project is a testament to our passion for preserving architectural heritage while infusing it with modern elegance and comfort.

The Vision:

The original structure, a charming barn, held decades of mountain history within its walls. Our vision was to retain this character, keeping the essence of its rustic charm, while reinventing it into a high-end retreat that meets the desires of today’s discerning traveler. With meticulous planning and craftsmanship, we’ve breathed new life into the building, transforming it into an exquisite chalet accommodating up to 8 guests.

The Renovation Journey:

Completed in 2024, this transformation showcases traditional architecture and contemporary design. We carefully preserved critical elements of the original barn, including the timber beams and stone walls, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that harmonizes with its natural surroundings. The renovation rejuvenated the building’s structure and introduced modern amenities, ensuring comfort and luxury in every corner.

Chalet Highlights:

The chalet’s interior was reimagined entirely to include two elegant double bedrooms and a unique bunk bedroom with queen-sized beds, perfect for families. The focal point of the living area, a grand fireplace, was custom-designed to evoke the cozy, communal spirit of the original barn while adding a touch of modern sophistication.

State-of-the-Art Upgrades:

Modern living requires modern amenities, and we spared no detail. The kitchen now boasts top-of-the-line appliances, including double ovens, a wine fridge, and a full-size American refrigerator. Outdoor leisure spaces were also prioritized during the renovation, with the addition of a spacious terrace, outdoor dining area, pool table, and a luxurious jacuzzi.

Preserving the Alpine Experience:

While embracing contemporary luxury, the construction respected the chalet’s alpine setting. The garage was expanded to house two vehicles, complete with an EV charger, while boot, glove, and helmet heaters were installed to cater to guests returning from mountain adventures. The renovation incorporated energy-efficient systems to ensure sustainability, minimizing the chalet’s environmental impact while maximizing comfort.
